Deadly Hunter VR - Archery w/ A Tower Defense Aspect
I was provided the key by the developers for this game and I'm glad I was. I love games like Holopoint and QuiVR as I think that the mechanics of firing a bow and arrow are perfect for VR. Deadly Hunter takes the bow and arrow scenario and throws it into a tower defense style game. Each wave, depending on how well you did, nets you some currency to spend on gear and eventually offensive towers to fight off the next higher difficulty wave. Visually, the world has some solid design to it and I do really love the book design for showing off the different traps and such. My biggest gripes with the game would be to have a slower beginning, possibly a tutorial, and to provide some more settings in the options menu. I feel like the game moved me right into my first match and I didn't really know what exactly I was doing or why. As for the options, things like audio options are always a plus, as is super-sampling. I would also like to see some controls options as to how the player interacts with the bow, notching an arrow, and the angle of the bow in your hands. I will say this, the game does have an excellent audio feedback for the pulling back of the bowstring. I loved that.
