In level 13 of the "Game 1" level set in the default Demo version of Balderdoush, the amount of gems you need is equal to the gems that will be formed from the Lava tiles if it fills up the enclosed area in the bottom of the level.

However, if you're quick enough, you can drop the boulders to open up the lava to other areas of the level.

If you're lucky, you can get the lava to fill up the entire left section of the level (or if you want to be safe, just the whole bottom half of the level and block off the left side with the boulders available), and enjoy the score shoot up due to the 50-point bonus for exceeding the level requirement.

It's pretty rare to pull off though, since the lava tend to cool a bit quick (at 249 seconds), if you fail to enclose it it becomes boulders
