This video presents a small critique of the balancing in Baldur's Gate 3. I'm playing on tactician mode and there's a huge spike in difficulty toward the end of Act 2, which basically means I have to save scum just about every spell because if I miss a single one my party gets wiped. I get that tactician is a 'hard' mode, but this was a very sudden transformation in difficulty (the game was actually kind of easy prior to this spike), and I kind of think that if a game is designed so that spells hit only 30 to 60% of the time, you shouldn't be designing encounters that make victory impossible if a single spell fails to hit its target.
