There are a few mini missions you need to complete for the Flaming Fist to continue on with the story. Investigating the Iron Throne involves fighting doppelgängers and an Orge mage.

The final confrontation happens in the Iron Throne building on the top floor. Walking back down the stairs lures some of the enemies so you can take them out one at a time. Breaking them up makes the fight a lot easier.

Onto Candlekeep and chapter 6.
