In this chapter, David spends quite a bit of time in the Coalition Camp, getting better acquainted with representatives of the various factions - Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, and Daggerford - and performing a set of important tasks for their leaders, such as bringing to light a dangerous spy for Caelar Argent and preventing the Thieves' Guild from setting up its activities in the Camp. He also manages to rescue another of Glint's relatives from certain death, listen to a bunch of people's wartime stories, flirt with his lady companions, and help save Khalid's marriage to Jaheira - and, at the end of the day, make a short detour to Bloodbark Grove to collect some important ingredients.
