I can't believe Banjo-Tooie has an underwater level.
I'm not sure whether I played much of this level when I rented the game decades ago, but the only thing I remembered about it was the music, so I was quite surprised when the majority of the level turned out to be underwater... which unfortunately makes for some laborious travel initially. Fortunately, Banjo-Tooie's addition of expanded first-person controls can come in handy for underwater travel. And ironically, I ended up finding something else that should've helped quite a bit, after the fact...
If you can forgive the underwater mechanics, Jolly Roger's Lagoon does have some interesting and amusing things going on. Once again, I haven't quite figured out everything yet, so I'll have to return later to reach some spots I couldn't figure out how to access.
