A New Peril!

Gotham City™ — a bizarre mixture of old and new architecture. Ancient, decrepit buildings are held up with steel girders, massive water pipes embedded in old brick walls rust away, and dingy yellow streetlights illuminate the streets with a pale light. Below the city the sewers run, filled with dark waters and evil creatures.

This is Batman's city, the one he has sworn to protect. The Penguin™ has staked a claim in the city, and it is up to Batman™ to rid Gotham of the
peril it now faces. There are five stages for Batman to fight his way through, and different areas in each Silage as well as a boss of each stage who is even tougher than the rest. it’s time, Batman. Prepare to do battle!


**Trivia**

The Master System and Game Gear versions of the game are side-scrolling platform games, but the titles were created independently of the 16-bit versions. This version featured a unique branched level system, allowing players to choose from an easy and difficult route. The latter typically forced players to use rope swinging to navigate over large floorless areas in these versions of levels.
