Batman's Smartest Plan to Beat Lobo
3As usual, The story begins with Batman beating up the Joker and bringing him back to Arkham Asylum.
The narrative then shifts to Lobo arriving at Arkham, looking for the Joker. Along the way, Lobo wreaks havoc and kills indiscriminately until he finds the Joker's cell. Kicking down the door, Lobo is ready to kill the Joker, revealing he was hired by Scarface to take him out.
The Joker, always one step ahead, makes a counteroffer to Lobo: $10 million to humiliate and destroy Batman. Once that's done, Lobo can fulfill his contract with Scarface and kill him. Initially hesitant, Lobo is swayed by the Joker's persuasion to wait a few days while they ruin Batman's reputation.
With the money he's got, Lobo dresses up as Batman and starts causing chaos in Gotham. His first target is the Penguin. Knowing Batman never kills, Lobo decides to blow the Penguin's head off to make it look like Batman did it. That's just the beginning of the Joker's plan to destroy Batman.
Disguised as Batman, Lobo finally confronts the real Dark Knight. Batman realizes his priority is to lure Lobo away from civilians. Escaping in the Batmobile, Batman knows he can't match Lobo's strength. Temporarily blinding Lobo with a gadget, Batman gains a brief respite to regroup. Despite this advantage, Lobo finds and severely injures Batman, breaking his legs and ribs. Nightwing and Robin arrive to help, but their efforts end tragically as Lobo kills them both.
Gotham now believes Batman is a murderer, with both Lobo and the real Batman hunted by the police, and all this chaos makes The Joker crazy happy.
Meanwhile, a furious Bruce Wayne confides in Alfred that he couldn't stop Lobo, resulting in Nightwing and Robin's deaths. Determined to find a way to defeat Lobo, Bruce struggles with his injuries and the limited effectiveness of his gadgets. Alfred suggests donning the Batsuit, but Bruce initially rejects the idea due to his condition. Despite this, they prepare for one final showdown with Lobo.
In their climactic battle, the Batsuit briefly gives Bruce an edge, but Lobo ultimately overpowers him. When Lobo delivers Batman to the Joker, they discover Alfred inside the suit. With Batman vulnerable, Lobo mocks his chances against him, especially with his injuries.
This time, Batman surprises Lobo with a potent gas, specially prepared to subdue him. Despite Lobo's initial dismissal, the gas contains a hidden ingredient that compels Lobo to obey Batman's commands. Batman orders Lobo not to harm anyone else and to leave Earth immediately.
Thus concludes this thrilling tale, demonstrating once more that Batman can overcome any adversary with careful planning.
