7Join fans from around the world in celebrating the legacy of some of the most beloved fighting games, with the release of MARVEL vs CAPCOM Fighting Collection Arcade Classics. Coming in 2024, this collection will be available both physically and digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. I believe it’s the first time the Marvel vs Capcom fighting games will be available on PC!
Every fighting game in the collection features online play, including ranked, casual, and lobby matches with rollback netcode, global high-score leaderboards, a training mode, and a spectator mode. The Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection also includes a music jukebox, in-game museum, display filters, and more. Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection Arcade Classics will be available physically and digitally on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC later this year.
The Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection Arcade Classics is headlined by the iconic Marvel vs Capcom 2 New Age of Heroes and includes six other titles, dating back to 1994's X-Men.
But Not everything is good news, the game will not be released on Microsoft's consoles. Capcom has yet to explain why Xbox players won’t be getting the Marvel vs Capcom collection, leaving fans to voice their displeasure on social media. While previous Capcom collections have always included Xbox, the reason for this exception remains unclear. Capcom is expected to provide an explanation soon.
