Battlefield 1 is EA DICE's upcoming first-person shooter, themed after World War 1. This is a short video showing some gameplay footage from open beta on Sinai Desert map. You can play as Assault, Support, Medic, Scout, or Pilot/Tanker. You can also hop on a horse and play the Cavalry class. There are elite classes you can pickup at different locations ingame to let you play as a Flame Trooper, Sentry, or Tank Hunter.

My initial reaction is that this game is really fun to play. It's quite different from BF4 or CoD, which is good as the fps genre could use something a bit out of the norm. There are unique things such as Bayonet Charge which can be addicting to use. Of course once you start to charge, you can't turn very well so sometimes you miss, and you end up getting shot in the back.

The tanks and attack planes are fun to use, they're modeled after WWI vehicles. I'm a terrible gunner and even a worse pilot, so I usually stay on the ground as much as I can. Tanks are strong in this game, as they should be. But they can be countered by the Assault class, air bombers, stationary canons, and other ground vehicles.

Even this early in open beta, with much of the weapons and tools locked away, the game is already pretty addicting. I highly recommend giving it a try. To download the open beta client, click here: https://www.battlefield.com/beta
