Here's a short compilation of frontline shout reaper gameplay in WvW ZvZ. CF was raiding on JQBL during reset night. There were some good action despite the lag and terrible choke points in the new desert borderlands. Note that this is the second time I ran this build so I'm still tweaking things to find the ideal setup.

My comments:

-I wanted to hit 30% crit chance so I'm using sigil of perception. With full stacks I'm at 31% crit chance, or 81% crit chance in shroud. This is before factoring in Decimate Defenses. So crits are happening quite often, you can easily hit 100% crit while in shroud with Decimate Defenses.

-Death Magic's traits add quite a bit of toughness, especially with Corrupter's Fervor which I'm always at 10 stacks during combat. This allows me to replace some soldiers pieces with berserker/valk to raise crit chance & crit damage a bit.

-Blighter's Boon is taken to add a bit of sustain during combat, and Augury of Death also adds sustain and works great with the shout build as it reduces shout cooldowns.

-With Trooper runes, shouts cleanse you and 5 allies of condi's. Shout build feels good, you get to apply chill pressure, condi transfer, boon strip, siphon heals, Rise reduces your damage taken by 50% while minions are alive, and shout elite does an aoe 2 seconds of unbreakable stun + stability.

-Consume condition taken as the hail mary cleanse of all condi's + big heal when you really need it.

-Greatsword works well for the aoe pulsing blind GS4, aoe pull + chill GS5, and Gravedigger spam GS2 when targets are under 50% hp or downstate cleave.

You still should have Guardians to provide boons and stab, frontline reapers do not replace Guardians/Revs. You also shouldn't sacrifice well bombs for frontline reapers, as well bombs are still very much needed to bust large zergs. But frontline shout reaper feels good, they can add meat to the frontline core. They do amazing aoe cleaves and cc's, and their chill/poison condi pressure is amazing.

Reapers do lack true block/invulns so you got to know when to dodge out of heat. If you have to get through an extremely hot choke point, load Plague. Unfortunately Reapers are still a very selfish class, so you aren't going to be giving out boons and group utilities. It'll be up to your raid to determine if Reapers are worth taking a slot or not.
