Here's a relatively short video of Reaper WvW roaming gameplay using a variety of builds, both power and condi. There's no doubt condi builds can handle outnumbered & high pressure situations better. In almost all outnumbered clips I included, I likely would've died sooner if I was using a power build. With that said, I still prefer power gameplay better, it suits my "go big or go home" style.

But Anet has made the meta the way it is, so condi as-is is much more effective when roaming solo. You can see just how little 1v1 time I get out there, go figure. Since we lack mobility, my goal in most of my encounters is to take at least 1 down with me. You want to come at me, I'm gonna put up a fight.

As usual, my videos are quite raw. They show my mistakes and bad timing when using certain skills. I don't bother editing them out or cherry pick perfectly executed fights because everybody makes these mistakes. Perhaps you'll get a chuckle out of seeing them and say "hey, I do that too".

First fight, I was experimenting with offhand dagger. I think if I was using warhorn as per usual, I could've secured a second kill. Oh well, I wanted to test different weapons & skill slots. But right now, warhorn is still the best offhand in my opinion for securing kills.

Last fight our guild was just starting to form up, no squad or groups setup yet. But people cried in zone about 15+ capping NWT so we just had to respond. Reapers are great at +1. We're very dangerous and can make big impacts in fights. This is why if you see a Reaper fighting along side of you, you should always assist them because sometimes a lil assistance can go a long way. You don't have to do too much, just some cleanse here & there as power builds are vulnerable to condi's & cc's. And some peels, since people still train and focus necros whenever they can.

Like the random fight with [WS] guys, they peeled for me when I was pressured, took care of the DH that was trying to trap me. In doing so, I was able to stay in the game, got back in time to corrupt the ele (important when fighting eles), and helped take down the ele & thief. Had they let me die, their fight would've turned into a 2 v 4+ so peeling for me kept the odds more even. Even though we weren't grouped or on voice comms, experienced pvp players knew keeping a reaper around in that situation was a good idea.
