Today we’re battling with the Fiora Braum Ramp deck! If you’re not familiar with this deck, it’s a pretty exciting one to play. Since the 4.2 patch, I’ve been playing a lot of PnZ Fiora, which has the Darkin Harps in it. But if you want to think in terms of playing best of three, the probable best deck you could play right now is Jayce Lux. If you want to include Jayce Lux in the best of three lineup, you can’t play PnZ Fiora.
But that doesn’t mean you have to scrap the idea of playing Fiora. It’s still an absolutely fantastic deck, and I was really excited to see this deck turn up. Before we talk about it, I want to show you how I found it. I don’t have credit for who initially put this together, but I like to go to Llorr-Stats.com. You can just search for Lor Legna, which is a bit easier to find. At the top, there’s the Meta section. This will give you a quick overview of how the format looks in terms of the number of games played across the past week, the most popular decks, and how their win rate is holding up.
Jayce Lux is at the top spot, with both the most games played and a pretty exceptional win rate at 55%. But one of the interesting things to take a peek at is the Fresh Stats, which are the stats from just the past day. This gives you a better idea and feel of what is currently running through the meta. When you sort this by win rate, you start to find the Braum Fiora. Surprisingly, it has a 67% win rate across 100 games. That’s when you have to take note.
This deck has a lot of usage coming out of the 4.2 patch. It has the Blocking Badger Bear, which is a nice solid early game play. The Badger Bear does a lot of work in terms of stalling out the game until you can get some ramp happening. This deck takes two separate directions. Number one is playing the ramp deck. You have access to the new card Winter’s Touch, along with Wild Mysticism to help the ramp package get going. You also have the expensive spells, like Judgment Buried in the Ice and Warmother’s Call.
The other direction is a very strong unit-based board control package. You have Fiora and Braum holding down the fort, along with Darkin Spear to help boost those units. This is the kind of idea you saw maybe six months ago, when Mega Mogwai came down with a Demacia-based ramp deck. It was looking to do similar things with Tianna, Cithria and the Warmother’s Call.
If you have Anaacka on board, you can attack and summon a follower from within the top six cards of your deck. You’ll either summon Tianna, which will give you a rally, or you’ll summon Cithria, which will double up the attack and health of all your units on the board. That’s a lot of surprise power that can come out of these Anaacka attacks.
So that’s the Fiora Braum Ramp deck. It’s a powerful deck that can take you to great heights. It has a lot of surprise power and intangibles that can help you win games. So if you’re looking for a new deck to try out, this is definitely one to consider.
