Bayonetta 2 (NS): Chapter XVI: Sovereign Power (Normal, All 9 Verses, Final Boss & Ending)
Bayonetta returned to the present time with her father Balder. It was now time to leave Vigrid and head to Fimbulventr.
They quickly hitched a ride on Jeanne's jet. It looked like Bayonetta felt her on the way to their location.
Balder had yet to figure out how Bayonetta knew him, or how he is related to her...
For now, they teamed up to battle both the angels and the demons blocking their way towards Fimbulventr
----------
In this shoot 'em up sequence, you use Bayonetta to shoot, and Balder to slash. You'll be going through all sorts of enemies for the first two Verse, including some minibosses.
----------
After long trek through the snow, Luka and Loki were able to reach the entrance to the temple of Fimbulventr. The Prophet from before, Loptr, attack Luka, and it was enough to wake Loki up. Loptr claimed for himself that he was the better half of the two.
----------
Before you go up that same entrance, their a Verse 3 Muspelhiem to the right. This final Muspelhiem has you kill all the enemies without getting hit once.
Except the only enemy here is the dangerously tough Allegiance. Can you do it?!
----------
At the top of stairs, the Left and Right Eye of the Overseer, finally reached Fimbulventr and Loptr.
Loptr had finally allowed Balder to take his revenge on Loki, but at this point, he realized that Rosa's true killer was Loptr, himself.
Indeed, Loki and Loptr were once and the same, but Loki split themselves into two, but maintained his Sovereign Power, the power to control the Eyes of the World. Loptr now wanted his power for himself to gain control of an ancient god, so that he can become Aesir, the God of Chaos.
Loptr then absorbed that power, and then used that to steal Balder's Right Eye, he went for Bayonetta's Left Eye next, but...
...he was absolutely bewildered by Luka's sudden appearance. He was just their to bring Loki to safety and out of Bayonetta's fight.
----------
This fight is pretty similar to the fight you had with him when he was called Prophet, moreso than fighting his younger self in Chapter XIII.
----------
Bayonetta attempt to finish off Loptr with some Infernal Beasts, but Loptr defeated them effortlessly and robbed Bayonetta of her Left Eye of Darkness.
He now gained the full power of Aesir, the Overseer of the World, and he who claimed to be its rightful ruler.
But Bayonetta continued to fight on, after being motivated from Balder that humanity can will their own world with their own eyes; that a god cannot determine their future.
----------
As Aesir, he uses more powerful versions of his Loptr attacks, including some new moves, some of which trigger a Gigaton sequence. As the fight goes on, you will eventually have to fight in the the air and all alone.
I just... VERY BARELY finished this in one piece!
----------
Loki then revealed the truth about his Sovereign Power, and why he was considered the better half.
Using his card, he completely shut down the Eyes of the World, stripping Loptr of his godhood. Such was Aesir's really power of "Nothingness".
From that point on, you can now freely lay the final smackdown upon Loptr, and Balder will help with that to.
To finish him off, Bayonneta combine their strongest Umbra and Lumen enchantments to create the ultimate Controller of Creation: Omne!
Onme delivered a dropkick so powerful that it forced Loptr's body to fly out from his soul!
----------
For Verse 4, you get to control this body to send him to be eaten by Jeanne's Gomorrah. Just don't miss.
As for his soul, Loptr could just go back in time and be reborn in a different era.
However, Balder stopped Loptr by forcing him to take over his soul, even if it meant turning evil. Before he fell through the portal, he told Bayonetta, his dear sweet child Cereza, to strike him down should he fall down the wrong path.
For now, the world was saved, and Loki decided to take his leave, letting humanity forge its own path now that the Eyes of the World were gone.
----------
Several days later after Christmas, Bayonetta and Jeanne continued their shopping spree, and Luka was forced by Rodin to toss around flyers. The two witches took time to realize how much they liked having Enzo around after they noticed he wasn't there with them.
But then Enzo came crashing in on his plane. The witches knew that those angels were at it again. So they changed their outfits and commenced their next dance!
--------
Just like in the previous, during the credits, you will go through several setpieces of battles. You can get medals out of these, too, but if you take too long, you just fail them.
Further down the credits, Bayonetta presents another pole dance to the original version of Moon River.
But then a stinger shows what happened to Balder in the past. Because of Loptr's soul within him, we now know how he became so evil in the original Bayonetta...
----------
Thanks for watching! I've decided that Bayonetta 3 *WILL* be covered eventually! The game is out RIGHT NOW!
