TWEWY Final Remix: Endgame Part 2: Composer's Judgement: The World Begins With You (Ending)
Just when Megumi was almost beaten, HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER!
It's Joshua! He turned out to be alive, too! But how?!
Time was short. Megumi captured him, Shiki, and Joshua, and gained a more powerful Noise form: DRACO CANTUS!
----------
I basically used a "Death of a Thousand Cuts" strategy to beat this boss.
As you bring down its health, you will get prompts to activate the Fusion of each of Neku's partners. In Final Remix, your motion action with the cursor has to be the same as what you use to summon them as Partner Pins to use their Fusions.
Shiki - Just tap her.
Joshua - Slash down on him.
Beat - Scratch him.
You only get one chance on each of these. Fail, and the boss heals itself, instead.
When you finish it off, you will use a Final Fusion that is powered by all 4 Players!
----------
Megumi was beaten once and for all, but Joshua marked this as if he just won a direct bet against him.
Why was he like this? And WHY does Megumi have a timer?! Well...
----------
The Composer was was fed up with Shibuya's habits, where everyone thought for themselves and never for each other. He planned to end it all and erase Shibuya before its influence could spread through the entire world.
Megumi feared this deeply. He LOVED Shibuya and its inhabitants. He wanted to figure out a way that Shibuya could be saved from itself. He agreed to his superior to commence the Reapers' Game for a month, where they would compete against each other on a bet.
But there was a catch: The Composer will change and handicap himself, and will pick a certain Player to represent him in this bet.
And that Player... was Neku...
----------
If you haven't figure it out yet, then let's just hit the fact once and for all.
The Composer, the creator of the Reapers' Game, and the true mastermind behind everything that went down... *WAS JOSHUA ALL ALONG!!!!!!!!!*
He disguised himself as an illegal Player, had Neku as his pick, but also partnered with him to keep a closer eye on his thoughts as a citizen of Shibuya. It was all to test him and use him to win against Megumi in their bet on Shibuya's survival.
----------
Joshua also revealed the truth about how Neku REALLY died...
Yes, it looked like Joshua shot him at first, but he was actually shooting at Minamimoto, who then looked to shoot at Neku, but that was also not the case. He was shooting back at Joshua, but to no avail, because his Composer powers worked even in the RG. So Minamimoto ran away.
And that was when Joshua... just shot Neku in the face at point-blank range. He really DID kill him, after all... just to start his side of the bet. Lastly, Megumi's imprinting couldn't work on Neku, because Neku had two Player Pins. One each was given to him from both Megumi AND Joshua.
Neku was enraged! One of his own "friends" killed him, and then used him as his pawn in the UG to determine Shibuya's fate. And he won...
To end this once and for all, Joshua challenged Neku to a gun duel. They countdown from 10, and then pull their trigger. Unfortunately, Neku was still reeling from pain of how used he was this whole time, and so he was the one that got shot again.
Before he closed his eyes... he saw... Hanekoma... standing next to Joshua...
----------
The next time Neku woke up, he was back in the Scramble Crossing, again, but with one major difference... *everyone could see him, now...*
Hell, everyone was back to normal... as in just back to scattering around with their own individual thoughts...
Neku had a freakout over what was going on, this time, but he then afterwards realized what this meant...
He was alive, and Shibuya... was spared.
----------
A whole week later, Neku had fully processed that Shibuya was back to its good ol' self. However, he could not yet forgive Joshua for what he did to him just to determine if this city was worth keeping.
Those three weeks he went through as a dead Player of the Reapers' Game changed his worldview. He learned how to trust people, how to feel betrayed by others, and how to open his senses - his world - to that of others. His past partners and enemies helped him realize all of that.
For most of those partners, he now headed to the park to meet them as his new friends...
----------
During the credits, we see that Neku met up with both Beat and his sister Rhyme, who is finally back to normal.
Later on, Shiki also showed up, and not just any Shiki, the REAL Shiki. The girl that she originally ran away from. She now embraced herself, AS HERSELF, and her new friends couldn't be any happier for her!
To finish off the credits, Neku removed his headphones. He used them to stuff himself away from the world, but now he was ready to embrace the world with open arms and open ears.
He finally figured out his life: The World *BEGINS* With You!
