In this episode we run out of plump helmet spores for some unknown reason our stocks of alcoholic beverages, beer mead and wine start to dwindle again. We still only have 13 dwarves and no migrants what to come to live with us yet. I'm hoping the dwarves we do have do not dehydrate to death any further.
We had some merchants turn up with news of a dwarf elf alliance if I am reading the diplomacy correctly, which is probably good news as we are cutting down a large number or their trees.
I should have purchased some plump helmet spores in the trade but alas, all I bought was leather and cheese! Maybe next time we'll buy some if we survive that long!
We really need to crate some kind of water reservoir underground away from the potential for it to freeze so that we have at least something to drink during the colder two thirds of the year.
We did spot a beehive, so maybe we can make some mead, but I don't know how we'd do that. It sounds dangerous.
We smoothed out the walls around the tavern and started engraving them with artwork. We put a barracks full of beds into the tavern but so far no one is using it. Also, the chest and barrel in the tavern remains empty for some reason.
One good thing we have done is to crate bins! Bins allow us to keep much more than one item in a square of ground in a stockpile. Also, when we have to haul the items in the bin to the trade post, we can take them all at once in the bin container.
We did also make a drawbridge out of wood, but we have no idea how to make the lever required to operate it. It seems to require mechanisms that are made at the mechanics workshop, but I don't know what material is used to construct them.
We are playing in the same generated 100 year old world as the last episode and in the same fort set in the age of myth with over 12 thousand characters of note in the world who we will most likely never get to meet because of how huge the world is!
We still have not finished the protective wall around our entrance, we need to finish that before danger arrives! Maybe in the next episode!
I'm having loads of fun with this game, I hope you enjoy the video!
