In this video we are playing the Slave known as Uranus, since the Thrill Seeker Civilan managed to not survive the last episode! This guy starts with nothing apart from a blunt sparing polearm! We have a couple of "spoils to the victor" fights to try and get some free equipment upgrades but we can't find anything better than the low quality stuff we already have! We keep the polearm for much of the arena fights, exchanging it briefly when one opponent foolishly drops their mace flail. We pick it up and use his own weapon against him, breaking his shield. In one pit fight we enter combat with the tactic of supporting our ally and teammate, a tactic that works quite well for us. When he is attacking from the front, we punctuate with stroking blows the the back of the head from behind.
We get quite unlucky in the shops which is doubly bad because as a slave the scolio takes half of all the gold you make.
As a slave the victory conditions are that we need to earn and have 100,000 fame. We end up using a lot of what we've earned re-rolling the shop in order to get some better weapons, armour and equipment in which to enter combat with. We end up getting cut down and die in the last fight of the episode, but Its a great game and I'm having loads of fun with it! Maybe next time we'll get some decent, armout, shields, helmet and weapons in order to achieve victory. But, it looks like next time we are playing a Criminal Scum again, so who knows! :D
This game is all about decapitations, stamina control and finding your own combat style.
