We're at that time in gaming where fan made projects can be better than their original inspirations. How cool is that?!

I've been an avid Pokémon player since the original generation 1 games released. I’ve been there since the craze began when the entire world knew what a Pikachu was and everyone’s Aunt loved “that fire lizard” because he was cute. I remember playing through Pokémon Blue for the first time and picking Squirtle as my starter solely for the fact that I thought your starter HAD to be the one from the box art. Yaaa…. I was a bit of a stupid child.

Despite being an almost lifelong fan of the series, I still have had some issues with Game Freak and Nintendo. What is it from Pokémon that I wanted but hadn't been getting? To a degree, I wasn't sure. I thought I wanted more RPG, but did I really? I had just thought that perhaps I was just burned out of the series that I had been playing since 1998. Or maybe Pokémon just wasn't for me anymore.… and then I played Pokemon Uranium.
