Benchmarks on Meltdown Emerge - Gamer’s Barely Affected | Intel Face Class Action Lawsuit
Early benchmarks have been released and the good news (for gamers at least) is that Intel's performance isn't terribly affected by the Meldown patches on the windows operating system, with just 1 or 2 frames per second being the average. However, in data centers the story continuest to be different and it appears that many are seeing between 5 and 30 percent performance reduction thanks to the meltdown patch.
Meanwhile, according to sources over at techpowerup, they alledge intel were aware of the flaws as the 8700k and other coffee lake processors were released.
Apple and other companies such as ARM have released further information regarding their own products, including in ARMS case a comprehensive processor list which details which vulnerabilities each of the ARM processors have.
