When we complete the puzzles in the Music Department of Joey Drew's cartoon studio (a place like Disney, except it's gone bad), Sammy Laurence captures Bendy and performs a demonic ritual to sacrifice him to Bendy. Luckily, Bendy attacks Sammy instead, and lets Henry escape.

Eventually, we come across a room flooded with ink. Normally, Bendy would spawn here, but moving backwards into the ink prevents this. This reveals a secret that will make you happy that Walt Disney made cartoons instead of demons.
