BEST NES Game Ever! Abobo's Big Adventure - Part 1!
0**Not Playable on the Mini Classics, YET! But, potentially possible!**
Out of every NES or NES styled game I have ever played, this particular fan made one is my personal favorite! It literally took 8 plus years of development time. The overall concept is that you play as Abobo, and something happens and your son is kidnapped. But, you have to go through several different NES game levels in order to get him back. These can range from Double Dragon to Super Mario Bros to...you get the idea. I don't wanna spoil too much before you at least get a chance to play it or watch my playthrough!
There are literally 500 plus references to OTHER NES games. Think of that one South Park Episode/s where they had Chucky from Child's Play, Freddy Krueger, Rainbow Brite, etc. You get the idea. Any given level in the game can have a reference to about any number of NES games! You might even fight against Jason from Blaster Master, or do you? I played this game way way way way way way back when it first came out, and have played it a few times all the way through, since. It never gets old, and is always fun. A lot of love and attention and fan service went into this. It would be amazing in an ideal world to see something like this get a legitimate release. But, Licensing Hell ensures this will NEVER EVER happen!
But, nonetheless, it is a riot of a time, and well worth playing. I am a little iffy in my water stage, because I have B and A swapped, and was too lazy to swap back! Think trying to play Super Mario 1, and your run and jump being reversed. Definitely takes getting used to!
I will do a Part 2, where some real insanity occurs, including a level based on my FAVORITE REAL NES game ever made...You will see, soon:)
