I previously did an Agumon Solo Challenge for this game. I also did a Gabumon Solo Challenge at a later point in time. In those Challenges I had to complete the game while only being allowed to recruit Digimon and get into battles when I had the selected Rookie Digimon as my Digimon. I wasn't allowed to recruit any Digimon or get into any battles when my own Digimon was any Digimon other than the selected Rookie Digimon. Obviously I couldn't stop my Digimon from Digivolving, and so it was inevitable that my partner Digimon wouldn't always be the selected Rookie Digimon. However, I wasn't allowed to do any recruits/battles when my own Digimon wasn't the selected Rookie Digimon.

In both of those Challenges I had the downside of not being able to reach 100 Prosperity Points due to the restrictions that I was going by. In the Gabumon Solo I wasn't able to recruit SkullGreymon due to Gabumon not being a Virus Type. In the Agumon Solo I wasn't able to recruit SkullGreymon or Frigimon, due to Agumon not being a Virus Type and not being able to tolerate cold weather. This led to me coming up with the idea of trying another Rookie Solo Challenge but with a Rookie Digimon who I might be able to reach 100 Prosperity Points with. I then started this Challenge; a Betamon Solo 100 Prosperity Points Challenge. I have to go by the same rules that I went by in the Agumon/Gabumon Solos, except my Rookie Digimon this time is Betamon, and I'm aiming for 100 Prosperity Points.

I started the game with Agumon who Digivolved to Numemon. But I made no progress in this lifespan; I simply passed time until my Digimon faded away. I started over with the Pink Egg and used the Tanemon Bug so that I was able to upgrade the whole of the Green Gym before Digivolving to Betamon. I was keen to not fulfil enough of the requirements in order for Betamon to Digivolve to any of his natural Champion Digimon throughout this challenge. Rookie Digimon will Digivolve to Numemon if you don't fulfil enough requirements for a natural Digivolution. Rookie Digimon will Digivolve to Numemon once 4 days have elapsed but can Digivolve to a natural Champion after just 3 days. Therefore I was enabling myself to have Betamon for an extra day by not fulfilling enough requirements for any natural Digivolutions.

With Betamon as my Digimon I made it up to 33 Prosperity Points before he Digivolved to Numemon. I obtained a Mouldy Meat, Happy Mushroom and Hispeed Disk from the Amida Forest. The Mouldy Meat was to be used to make a suitable Digimon sick in Freezeland so that Frigimon would rescue us, thus taking the first step towards recruiting Frigimon. The Happy Mushroom and Hispeed Disk were to be traded with the Mojyamons in Freezeland. I saw to the initial part of Grey Lord's Mansion and collected all of the items that were there. I obtained the Old Rod from Trash Mountain, and gained access to the Volume Villa by defeating Otamamon. I also defeated Drimogemon at the Drill Tunnel to help with having access to the Lava Cave later on.

Even though I couldn't recruit any Digimon or get into any battles there was still stuff that I was able to do with Numemon as my Digimon. I moved the boulder in the Drill Tunnel so that I had clear access to the Lava Cave; the boulder can only be moved by Champion and Ultimate Digimon. I took Numemon to Toy Town, Digivolved to Monzaemon and spoke to the Robot Digimon so that he unlocked the door which leads towards WaruMonzaemon; this made WaruMonzaemon available for battle later on. I spoke to Jijimon so that Greymon would be available for battle later on; this is another thing that can only be done if your Digimon is a Champion/Ultimate. I then waited for Monzaemon to fade away so that I could move onto my next lifespan.

I chose the Pink Egg and made Yuramon sick in Freezeland with the Mouldy Meat so that Frigimon rescued us. I then Digivolved through to Betamon and made further progress. I went from 33 Prosperity Points to 74 Prosperity Points before Betamon Digivolved to Whamon. With Whamon as my Digimon I spoke to Jijimon so that Airdramon would be available for battle later on; another one of those things that can only be done if you have a Champion or Ultimate Digimon. I then waited for Whamon to fade away.

In my next lifespan I Digivolved to Betamon and saw to the remainder of the challenge; I went from 74 Prosperity Points to 100 Prosperity Points. Thanks to Betamon being a Virus Type I was able to recruit SkullGreymon; something that I couldn't do in the Agumon/Gabumon Solos. As a Digimon who can tolerate cold weather I was able to recruit Frigimon; something that I couldn't do in the Agumon Solo. Because of these things I managed to improve from the Agumon/Gabumon Solos and finish with 100 Prosperity Points.
