Maximum Progress (Medals) With 1 Lifespan (4/6, Digimon World Challenge)
This is a challenge where I have to try and make as much progress as possible with just one single lifespan; a challenge where I try to make the maximum amount of progress while being restricted to the one lifespan that I start the game with. I can't have my Digimon fade away as this would mean moving onto a different lifespan. I have to stick to my first lifespan and make as much progress as possible without fading away. I refer to the medals when I talk about progress; the objective of this challenge is to see how many medals I can earn under these restrictions.
There are 15 medals in total:
Medal for defeating the final boss; Machinedramon.
Medal for reaching 100 Prosperity Points.
Medal for Digivolving to every Digimon.
Medal for learning every Technique.
Medal for reaching maximum Stats.
Medal for getting every Digimon Card.
Medal for reaching maximum money.
Medal for catching 100 fish.
Medal for getting the perfect score in Curling.
Medal that you get once 10 years have passed.
Medal for 100 Championship Wins at the Arena Tournament.
Medal for winning every Grade Tournament.
Medal for winning every Version Tournament.
Medal for winning every Nature Tournament.
Medal for winning every Special Tournament.
Due to the restrictions that I'm going by I think it's likely that not all of the medals are going to be obtainable in this challenge. However, there are some medals which surely will be achievable, as well as some medals which might be achievable.
With Pheonixmon I won a further 3 Arena Tournaments; 2 D Tournaments and a C Tournament. I was then done with Pheonixmon and Digivolved to Sukamon. I won the Filth Tournament with Sukamon as my Digimon. I then gave Sukamon the Digivolution Item Mysty Egg, making him Digivolve to Digitamamon.
The Fire Techniques that I was missing were Fire Tower, Magma Bomb, Red Inferno, Prominence Beam and Infinity Burn. I learned Infinity Burn from training Brains, and learned the others from battles. This earned me the Technique Medal; the Medal that you get for mastering every Technique. Those Fire Techniques were the last few Techniques left to be learned. I won 10 Arena Tournaments; 7 D Tournaments, 2 C Tournament and the Fire Tournament. I was presented with the Nature Tournament Medal after winning the Fire Tournament; it was the last remaining Type Tournament left to be won. I allowed Digitamamon to Digivolve to Sukamon, and then Digivolved from Sukamon to Etemon by using the Digivolution Item Gold Banana; I got this from the Etemon on the Digimon Bridge.
There were no more Techniques to learn, but there was still work to be done. The Arena Tournaments were my biggest focus. I obtained another Medal for winning the Human Tournament; the Special Tournament Medal. I won 8 more Arena Tournaments; all D Tournaments. I Digivolved from Etemon to Sukamon, and then from Sukamon to SkullGreymon by using the Fatal Bone.
With SkullGreymon I was quick to get another Medal; the Version Tournament Medal. This came after winning the Version 2 Tournament. I then won another 16 Arena Tournaments; 13 D Tournaments and 3 C Tournaments. This put me up to 100 Championship Wins, and I was therefore provided with the Medal for this. There were then only 2 Medals that I was missing. One of them was the Medal that you get for Digivolving to every Digimon; the Digivolution Medal. This Medal would not be obtainable under the restrictions that I was going by in this challenge; for starters it wouldn't be possible to get any of the Baby Digimon or In-Training Digimon. That just left the Medal that you get once 10 years have elapsed; the 10 Year Medal. This struck me as a Medal which might be obtainable in this challenge, and this Medal was the only thing that was still on my mind. I proceeded by simply passing the time; passing as much time as possible as quickly as possible in pursuit of making it to Year 11 Day 1.
