Beyonce released "Baby Boy"
It was Beyoncé’s idea to include Sean Paul on “Baby Boy” and the song was also released on his album “Dutty Rock” and the single became Sean Paul’s first US number 1.
Thanks to the success of Baby Boy and Crazy in Love before it, Beyonce spent 17 weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 during 2003, beating 50 Cent by 4 weeks but he had the year’s most successful single with In Da Club…though had her singles been released earlier she might have claimed this achievement from him too (In Da Club was released in January).
