Gameplay footage of Black Fire on the Sega Saturn. This video covers the training mission along with the first five story missions in game. There is no hiding the fact this is an awful game in just about ever aspect. The give away is the fact that both SEGA of Japan and Europe decided not to publish the game in their regions.

Most likely this was an exercise in how to code for the Saturn. While the free roam missions map design has some nice ideas behind it. The game just looks pretty terrible and becomes far to hard for it's own good,. Often you fly over blank area for far to long and it isn't clear when you are about to take damage. Thunderhawk 2 is a far better game on the system and much more worthy of your hard earned cash. Unless you want a full Saturn set or want a cheap game there really isn't much going for Black Fire. It's only saving grace is the game isn't dire and you can get an hour or two of fun out of it before you get bore.
