Strat summary :
Setup is done camping Barn alley to control spawns to barn interior and barn alley window only. Open house and get mp5/jug/speed/DT as points build up over rounds, then start hitting box for Ray or RGM2. This game I won lottery and got RGM2 2nd hit which enabled me to run barn strat for the whole game. For barn strat, start rounds /trainups in barn alley, round up the horde in the open road area behind truck, then train the horde to front barn entrance through lava cracks and hit it with ray or RGM2 while you are inside barn. After hitting horde return to barn alley until pushed out by new spawn, then rinse and repeat the trainup/horde hit.
RGM2 trade is possible to run to round 50 (my run had 3 trades), but it eats about 100k points on average per RGM2 so be sure to go after x2s and play instas out to maximize points for box trades if you want to run RGM2 full game. RGM2 starts to get weak against zombs in high 40s, to conserve ammo 4-shot barn hordes only to take advantage of cumulative RGM2 damage and maximize RGM2 ammo. Get EMPs so you can fast-trade out for a new ray/RGM2 midround without a horde of zombies chasing you around the box. The EMPs are an ingenious addition to the survival maps and really fun to use, this is the first game I have played using them and it was a ton of fun.
Mini-review :
The first time I played Farm I got bored and quit at round 16 and didnt look back since it seemed there wasn't much action potential on the map. Luckily I decided to pick it up again for my flawless 50 series and found the map to offer very good zombie action as the rounds count up . It is not a "lame" map by any means but also is not overly difficult, hitting a good middle ground between challenge and general playability. I had a very good time on the map and enjoyed running the 50 a lot and I highly recommend it to all experienced zomb warriors looking for some fun, challenging, and intense action if you like me passed it by for whatever reason. Its not as fast action fun/ exhilarating as Town survival but it has its moments.
Setup on this map is extremely easy and horde training is fairly easy (though if you get pathblocked at the wrong time and place its GG like any zombies map). Without a PaP machine this map is actually harder to hit a 50 on than Town because of ammo management and significantly reduced firepower (no Pap = less than half ammo, and weaker ammo to boot). Pap however would have made this map way too easy/lame so its a good thing they left it out to provide the player with some ammo management challenge. Expect to be running many box trades once you get into the 40s as both Ray and RGM2 will run out of ammo quickly as horde count and zombie health increases exponentially. RGM2 makes the gameplay reasonably easy, Barn spawn control strat can be used for the whole game with an RGM2. Ray is also runnable but it will be harder to continue to run barn strat at high rounds with Ray due to its damage falling off and long time needed to take out the horde with ray spam as rounds increase. Overall I rate Farm a good survival zombie map showing from the classic zombie era (WaW/BO1/BO2).
