๐Ÿ“– STORY
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”

The Penitent One has awoken. In Blasphemous 2, the story picks up from where the Wounds of Eventide DLC ended,ย where The Heart in the Sky heralded the return of The Miracle and foretold the birth of a new miracle child.

Dive into a perilous new world filled with mysteries and secrets to discover, and tear your way through monstrous foes that stand between you and your quest to end the cycle once and for all.

Pros:
โœ… great looking pixel art graphics

โœ… well designed characters and environments

โœ… tight combat and well balanced enemies

โœ… interesting story with dark religions-type themes

Cons:
โŒ fully animated cutscenes look good but the originalโ€™s pixel art cutscenes were much cooler looking

โŒ difficulty is still high enough to be challenging but seems a lot easier than the first one (this could be good or bad depending on your desired level of challenge)

Verdict:
๐Ÿ‘ If you like metroidvanias, Blasphemous 2 will be right up your alley. It looks and sounds amazing, and the tight combat generally means that when you die it was simply your fault. Checkpoints and shortcuts seem fairly generous and donโ€™t feel overly frustrating.

While it doesnโ€™t seem to be as difficult as the first game, Blasphemous 2 may be a more accessible way for more gamers to enjoy the peril of the Penitent One.

Definitely check it out.
