BLENDER & SUBSTANCE PAINTER: KURSK SUBMARINE (PART 1): DEVICE 1
Starting a new series now on modeling and texturing some of the parts of the KURSK SUBMARINE that sank in 2000. The objects I will be working on are inspired by the computer game from Jujubee (https://store.steampowered.com/app/860620/KURSK/).
In this video (Part 1 of the series), I model in Blender what I am calling "Device 1" but which appears to be some kind of radio/receiver. I then do some texturing in Substance Painter. I should point out that I made a few dumb mistakes in the modeling and had to back-track. I generally like to point out my mistakes in the videos so you can have a good laugh at my expense.
In the next video (Part 2 of the series), we should be able to complete the texturing in Substance Painter. This will require some graphics made in other software, I will be using Flash Pro 8 but Photoshop would be an ideal choice or GIMP.
I hope to model and texture two or three objects from the KURSK submarine so please consider following me in this.
