BLENDER & SUBSTANCE PAINTER: KURSK SUBMARINE (PART 2): DEVICE 1
In this video I finish the texturing of the KURSK SUBMARINE DEVICE 1. I create some alphas (I used Flash Pro 8) and import them into Substance Painter to create the bars or grille, some button text and other graphics. I also show a method to create an indent below the screws/bolts and knobs. We add scratches and some general smudges on the text as well as some borders around the buttons.
And that's it! Device 1 is now done and with the textures resolution set to 2k, we would be ready to export them for use in Blender. I don't show that step but I've done it many times in other videos and if you have any trouble getting the textures to work properly for you in Blender, leave me a comment and I will help.
Hope you found this all useful or that it inspired you to create and please join me for more KURSK SUBMARINE component modeling and texturing.
Thanks and take care!
