Blind Fate Edo no Yami By Troglobytes Games and 101XP You Play as Yami a Blind Cyber Samurai Warrior
0Blind Fate Edo No Yami so far was one of the coolest looking indie game I've seen so far! It's made by Troglobytes Games and 101XP I've been following this game on Twitter and I decided to try out the demo on Steam. The game is a sidescroller hack and slash action game but it's both a 2D and 3D game so in this case it's a 2.5D. You play as this badass blind cyber cyborg samurai named Yami! You go around hacking and slashing robot enemies in this futuristic Japan I guess. This other character named Tengu guides you and also seem to be a cyborg. Since your character is blind you gotta rely on your cyber enhancements to fight enemies. You got your sword, a gun like weapon and your ninja jumping and double jumping abilities. You also have this dodge roll. I like the ability to perform these finishing moves after you do enough damage to enemies. You gotta quickly rotate the control stick though and line up the blade to strike your enemy once you activate this move. You also gotta choose the right color. There's four colors with different abilities and also use for those finishing quick slash attack! I also like this one finishing move after you shoot an enemy it stuns them and they get dizzy. You then get a chance to do this finishing move like you're in a Mortal Kombat game doing slashes and then exploding your enemies' head! That was pretty badass! So far the only part that I struggled on was the invisible enemies! You gotta deal enough damage to them to make them visible. I guess it's because they're using some sort of cloaking device to make themselves invisible, transparent and camouflage to the environment. The final boss in this demo was pretty hard! I struggled at first because this samurai cyborg was kicking my butt and finishing me off with a few quick sword strikes! After learning his moves and attack patterns I figured it out. I guess I complain quite a bit but it's because I couldn't dash in the air to avoid getting hit. You can only dodge roll. Hopefully the devs add more moves as upgrades or abilities you learn along the way. Also a parry move would make this better which enables you to counterattack. That would be useful. Other than that this game is really good!
