1990년 히티드 배럴을 만든 TAD라는 회사에서 오락실용으로 만든 슈팅 게임.
카발의 후속작으로 같은 인터페이스에서 무대만 서부극으로 바뀐 속편격 게임이다. 골드 러시 시대를 배경으로, 그림자 뒤에서 암약하는 악당 '빅 배드 존'을 이기기 위해 동지가 된 어떤 카우보이와 인디언이 쌍권총과 라이플을 손에 들고 싸움에 도전한다는 줄거리. 총 5스테이지 20면으로 구성되어 있다.
필드 내의 온갖 적들을 쏴서 FOE 게이지를 최하까지 떨어뜨리면 스테이지 클리어. 전작이 그랬듯 무한탄창 총을 쏘면 건물이든 비행선이든 펑펑 터져나가는 경파함이 일품인 게임이다.
카발1의 두 주인공이 옷 색깔만 다른데 반해 이 게임의 경우 1P는 쌍권총을 든 총잡이, 2P는 라이플을 든 아메리카 원주민(인디언)으로 묘사되었으며 수류탄 대신 다이너마이트를 던졌다. 적도 인디언이나 총잡이, 1편의 장갑차량이나 헬리콥터 대신 마차와 비행선이 나왔다. 그러나 스테이지 클리어 후 플레이어의 그 경박한(....) 춤사위와 배경음악은 여전해서 이것이 컬트적인 인기를 끌기도... 또한, 건물 배경이나 오브젝트를 연타할 경우 나오는 보너스가 있으므로 이걸 노리는 것도 좋다. 이것도 골때리는게 많은게, 드레스차림으로 느리게 움직이다 총질을 하면 드레스 앞자락을 들춘채 게걸음으로 도망가는 귀부인이나. 밴조 치며 노래하던사람, 욕조에서 목욕하다가 욕탕 안으로 다이브하는 사람이나, 지나가던은행강도, 총격전에 놀라서 도망가는 민간인 등 다양하다.
2-4면의 배경에서 불타는 건물들은 소설원작의 헐리우드 영화 바람과 함께 사라지다에서 불타는 애틀랜타 씬의 오마쥬인듯하다.
근데 집채만한 뱀(월드 4 보스)이 튀어나오고, 독수리(월드 3 보스)가 날아다니며 화염탄을 날리고, 시대를 앞서간듯한 하이테크 열차나 복엽기[8]도 보이는걸 보면 아무래도 보통 서부는 아닌듯 싶다.
1보다 후대에 나온 만큼 보다 깔끔한 그래픽과 선명한 음향효과가 인기를 끌었다.
더불어 카발보다 더 빠르다. AI패턴도 난이도가 높을수록 총알이 빨라지고, 또한 적이 모이는 리젠 속도가 굉장히 빨라졌다. 특히 처리할 적이 얼마 남지 않을 경우 더 많이 리젠된다.
아이템 보급 캐릭터로 지나가는 돼지들이 존재한다. 홍돼지는 다이나마이트. 살색돼지는 오토머신건. 흑돼지는 세미 머신건을 준다. 간혹 어린 추장이 지나갈 때가 있는데 총으로 쏘면 오토머신건을 준다. 행글라이더와 기구를 이용한 포격도 장난 아닌만큼 굉장히 빠른 움직임과 조준이 필요하다. 카발처럼 보스를 잡다가 라이프가 0이 되어 컨티뉴가 나오면 리셋되므로 주의가 요구된다. 그렇다고 보스를 잡아도 점수가 0이니 난감하다.
오토머신건의 아이템 그래픽이 묘하게 루이스 경기관총에 맥심 기관총의 총열 붙인걸 닮아있다. 숫제 1910년대일세
적이 쏘는 탄은 대부분(예외도 있다) 맞쏴서 소거가 가능하다. 파란색 적이 던지는 폭탄을 포함한 일부 폭발형 탄은 쏴서 없애면 다이너마이트를 주기도 한다.
카발처럼 총이 연사가 아닌. 띄엄띄엄 공격이라. 결론적으로는 머신건을 얻지 못하는 이상은. 마구 두들겨야 한다...... 다만. 세미 머신건은 파괴력이 엄청나기 때문에. 보스전에서 가장 각광받는 무기중 하나이다.

Blood Bros. is a 1990 arcade game developed and published by TAD Corporation in Japan and Europe, while it was later published in North America by Fabtek. It is a spiritual sequel to Cabal, with almost identical mechanics. A bootleg of this game is known as West Story
Gameplay
In Blood Bros., two blood brothers, a cowboy and an Indian, team-up to hunt down "the most wanted outlaw in Dodge City," Big Bad John. The gameplay mechanics are extremely similar to TAD Corp.'s earlier game, Cabal, however this game did not seem to have a trackball-controlled variant.
The player's characters are seen from behind. Some screens feature protective walls (which can get damaged and shattered by enemy fire). The players have limitless ammunition for their primary gun, but a limited number of sticks of dynamite, with which they must fend off enemy troops. An enemy gauge at the bottom of the screen depletes as foes are destroyed and certain structural features of the screen (usually the ones that collapse when destroyed, rather than simply shattering) are brought down. At the successful completion of a level by fully depleting the enemy gauge, all the remaining buildings on-screen collapse and the player progresses to the next stage, reprising the amusing "victory dance walk" into the horizon from Cabal. Boss fights, however, start from the beginning if a player dies.
Power-ups appear from time to time, being released from objects destroyed on-screen or special characters who may run across, such as the small Indian Chief figure or warthogs. Points and weaponry can also be dispensed from the tin can, if the player shoots it into the air and juggles it with subsequent shots. Some power-ups give special weapons with increased firepower, others grant extra dynamite or additional points. Two players could play this game, cooperatively, simultaneously.
Reception and legacy
In Japan, Game Machine listed the game on their February 15, 1991 issue as being the tenth most-popular table arcade unit of the year. Likewise, RePlay reported Blood Bros. to be the second most-popular arcade game at the time. In the May 1991 issue of Japanese publication Micom BASIC Magazine, the game was ranked on the number eighteenth spot in popularity. Writing for British gaming magazines The One for Amiga Games and The One for ST Games in their May 1991 issues respectively, John Cook heavily compared it to Cabal but praised the graphics and gameplay, stating that "Blood Bros. has the core gameplay of Cabal, furthermore stating that it has "New sprites, new sound effects, same gameplay. Sounds like something of a recipe for boredom, but the fact that the playability of the original has been retained, maybe even enhanced, has ensured that [Blood Bros.] is going to be one of the favourite PCB games this summer." Martin Gaksch and Heinrich Lenhardt of German magazine Power Play gave the game a mixed outlook. Brad Cook of AllGame gave the title a negative review.
Natsume designer Shunichi Taniguchi stated that Blood Bros. and Dynamite Duke served as influences during development of Wild Guns
