BLOOD+ One Night Kiss (PS2) is a video game tie-in to the anime BLOOD+ released in Japan on August 30, 2006. Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and directed by Suda 51, ONK is a transitional game from Killer7 to No More Heroes. This game, Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked, and NMH1 form a loose "sword action" trilogy, and Suda has referred to ONK as Moonlight Syndrome 2.

In this original story, amnesiac schoolgirl Saya Otonashi goes to the fictional town of Shikishi to eliminate the Chiropterans, vampiric monsters. At the same time, detective Kou Aoyama (an original character) comes to investigate the threat from his side.

A niche-of-the-niche experience, ONK has few English resources online. Despite not speaking Japanese, with some patience and help from Google Translate, I was able to get 90% of the game, later finding a guide to fill in the last 10%. My goal is to synthesize everything into one complete walkthrough.

This playthrough is a "semi-full" walkthrough; along with the cutscenes, I "read" all of the conversations/emails for the sake of continuity. You can press START to skip all conversations, and only some emails are mandatory. I talk to a few non-mandatory characters for extra context, and I occasionally walk around to show certain things. My breakdown below will highlight what is mandatory with other notes.

I am playing on Adventure Mode (Easy) rather than Action (Normal), and I am doing all side missions, which reward you with uniforms/Y-shirts. Strangely, one side mission only appears on Adventure, meaning you must play it at least once to get everything. A few things are unlocked by beating the game on this mode and later modes (which I will show in later videos).

This video covers roughly half the game, from 9AM to 11:30PM.

Intro/Saya 0 - 9AM (2:45)
Can't skip the tutorial dialogue in the classroom.

Aoyama 0 - 2:30PM (33:59)
Not mandatory to enter ZakaMart; wanted to show off the Moonlight Syndrome poster.

Saya 1 - 4PM (48:29)
As this chapter has a tricky chain of people and two side missions, I did them one at a time to show each sequence clearly:
1. Mandatory chain of people. To signify it's over, I stand in front of the gym. If you're not interested in the side missions, you can simply enter the gym to continue on.
2. Side mission to the roof.
3. Side mission to find the girl's phone.

I talk to the "Uniform Angel" outside. He gives hints for Saya's side missions; he is not mandatory, but I will always talk to him in this playthrough.

Glitch at 1:05:50. The phone reappears after giving it to the girl, so you can pick it back up and "get" the uniform again (and again). As far as I know, it causes no other issues.

Aoyama 1 - 5PM (1:16:32)
Spliced in the first three minutes to show the save point. Mandatory email before talking to the chain of people. Talking to Akama in the park is not mandatory. I talk to the "Stylish Thief" (the girl in the street). She gives hints like the Uniform Angel and is not mandatory.
Aoyama Email Chain (Intro and Episode 1) starts here. It can be done later all at once or spread across the game; in this playthrough, I will do them all at once later.

Saya 2 - 6:30PM (1:33:33)
