Dolphin Emulator has a really neat free look feature, letting you break from the normal camera view to look around the environments. Recently, I finished a full playthrough where I used free look throughout, which can be found at the top. The videos in that playlist are unlisted as they are raw, unedited Twitch VODs, but the playlist itself is public.
This video was recorded separately from that playlist, but is nonetheless part of the same project. In a way, you could say this is a sort of advertisement for that playthrough. Free look here is used to look at two specific details in the Smile Chess scenes.
In the first clip, I show that Garcian actually has the Golden Gun in this scene. I came across it years ago, so I've known about it for a while (proof: https://imgur.com/9VLJyw1-). However, it's not necessarily common knowledge as it's pretty hard to tell on the original 480i GCN version (which most people probably played with composite cables to boot). It's more visible on PC (https://imgur.com/qyc2WcH-), but still a bit obscure. Learning about this detail completely recontextualized the scene for me, so I wanted to share it to a wider audience.
The second clip differs in that it's really meant to show what *isn't* there, specifically the killer. While the game heavily implies it's a certain character based on the weapon choice, they naturally didn't put an actual character model there. While showing what's not present might seem a little silly, the question has come up before, and I thought it was morbidly funny to see how Harman/Kun Lan "react" to what-looks-like nothing.
