These stages are pretty long...Best stage theme, btw.

The upgrade to this stage is a gauntlet which raises your strength. It's very early on in the level, so I saved while I had it.

Your respawning enemy of annoyance here are Medusa Heads and the upgraded Buer creature, the Decarabia. The medusa heads are conveniently in most rooms that involve pitfalls becaaaaaaaaaause why not. The Buer-esque enemy isn't as much of a factor as it was in the previous level, so that's always appreciated. The first room appears to have what looks like Valac in the background - a nod to the previous games. The second room has a shortcut where you ride the treasure spiders to a bottom door. Be aware that medusa heads CAN and WILL spawn at the edge of the right side of the screen and can likely knock you off of the spider into (Guess it...) a pitfall. That's the theme of this level - x creature knocks you into a hole because living is overrated. It gets worse in stage 7. (*shudder*)

I found out that the poltergeist sword enemies (not in this run) have a hilt you can step on once it lands. This means you CAN get the health up bonus from stage 3...but you gotta survive the randomness of the bats with only the axe. Speaking of her weapons, I've come to respect the sickle a lot more as an option. Compared to a few others, I would always just rely on other far-reaching weaponry from other characters, but the sickle does some pretty cool stunts. Also, catching it now provides a 1 WP refund, so it adds extra value to smooth play with it.

Boss: Titankhamun

This is a king from a long lost civilization - likely related to all the ancient creatures/objects in the stage. There's a lot happening in the fight and it's easy to get overwhelmed by the stuff to avoid. Titankhamun, while generally out of your reach, can always be hit if you have the tools to do so...which feels better than say, the first boss where you have to go through the motions and wait before getting like 3 hits in. Upon the start of the fight, the walls will have three arrow shooting enemies on both sides. These MUST go - it makes attacking Titankhamun a reaaaaaal pain to deal with. The topmost arrow-shooter-thingy gives 3 Weapon Points while the middle and lower one drops 1 each. With the triple dagger equipped, if you stand right on the background pillar closest to the middle on either side, you can let those daggers loose and it handily hits all the arrow hawks. (?) With those out of the way, you can focus on the attacks.

Obelisk of Rebellion:
Obelisks will rise from the ground and serves as a platform to reach and strike the boss. These have variable heights and will block incoming arrows as well as you if you didn't jump over or on it. After a few moments, it drops a energy ball that hits the ground and divides into two to cover the ground of the area. Soon after, the obelisk itself gets electrocuted from above, so be sure to jump off of it by then. The obelisks can be destroyed as well. These obelisks are supposed to be the citizens' souls, rebelling against their illegitimate king. Their insurrection is quelled by the king's lightning...so maybe that orb that falls is a tear, proof of their failure?

Torus of Curses:
The snake mouths on both sides of Titankhamun's head will open and send out two rings that will richochet downward. Thankfully, these can be destroyed. This is what the king used to bind rebels to the earth. Really liking the story that goes along with these attacks.

Sevenfold Divine Light:
After a few obelisks get condemned to the dirt, you'll notice that three of them will eventually be set on the same level in the certain positions. Titankhamun will fire a beam across the ground that blows the obelisks up, bringing them all close to his head before dropping down and restoring the arrow traps on the wall. The laser does not damage you, but the giant explosion does. You can only dodge it if you're on top of the obelisk. If you destroy one of the main 3, you can still jump on the top, but even that height will get you caught on the explosion. High jumpers like Miriam can jump over if from that height, I do believe. This laser was used to massacre those who struggled against the king.

Stage 7's next...and this might take a while.
