I'm checking to make sure that this is possible, and indeed it is. To be fair, Sniper DID get a speed buff outside bottom path, but the only relevance that holds in later rounds is the Middle Path Sniper being able to work with the Top path, and Middle Path Sniper had been underpowered before. Now? Well, the M5 upgrade gets to pay off by pulling his own weight while boosting the other Snipers. T5 Sniper did get his own buff of longer stun durations upon his targets, but when the DDTs are still moving fast enough, I'm not exactly complaining.

Yes, this whole run boils down to my Sniper crosspath choices of T/B, M/T, and B/T. Why only one Middle path Sniper? Because the shrapnel is absolutely useless against DDTs, and no doubt would be even if they dealt Normal damage due to the DDTs' spread. Oh but wait, that would leave me with only one Sniper for Camo detection! Well, that's not a problem, not when Etienne is providing his free Radar Village effect. Granted, Top secondary costs more than the secondary of the other 2 paths, but the added damage more than makes up for it, so the money that could have gone to Middle Path Village is going to good use, and when Etienne also conveniently has decent Regen busting ability even early on, that eliminates the need for Grow Blocker as well.

Of course, DDTs wouldn't fall that easily to Snipers, but I can thankfully get the B4 Boomerang, again affected by Etienne's Radar boost; not to mention the T3 Glue and the B3 Glue, both of whom will actually hit seen DDTs. Those end up being enough to curb Round 95's shenanigans. Round 98's regular blimp flood, while still a case where you're better safe than sorry, is not nearly as threatening because Etienne can use his activation to tear through the blimps fast enough, not to mention the towers that Etienne has that focus on non-Camo boosts will deal their heightened damage.

See, I have little doubt that this is what has people thrown off about Etienne: the expectation of needing to understand anti-armor at a heightened level. He is needing to know how to address Leads and DDTs with his support, and he would really want to work with either towers that have difficult if any Camo handling, crosspaths that capitulate Camo, or a combination of both, and such ideas tend to involve more complex behavior from the tower and equally high demand for the player's comprehension ability. Here with Sniper, well, you see I'm coughing up the shrapnel damage because Etienne isn't exactly Pat Fusty. This reduces my group control, but Etienne can always use his second activation on the normal blimp flood Rounds to thin the herds, and getting M5 Sniper first works like a charm by buffing the later T5 Sniper who then melts the MOABs like you wouldn't believe because the speed boosts inevitably stack. Believe me, I can be sure crosspaths lacking Camo hitting would get even more wild and sophisticated going into other towers if T/M or M/T Boat is indication for my view off the top of my head.

Really, Etienne's effectiveness is actually accounting for the towers he has supporting him, and those towers can potentially hit like monster trucks.
