Blue Link Glitch in Zelda II: Adventure of Link (NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #zelda
703In Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, there's a super easy glitch you can perform to temporarily turn Link blue! Or a crazy white! Or blue and white! It's a simple color palette swap trick that I liked to play around with when I was younger.
All you need to do is head to any town and you'll also need access to at least one Magic spell. Equip ANY spell, but don't use it quite yet.
Approach any villager or signpost so that you're ready to open a text box. Press SELECT to cast a magic spell, then immediately talk to a villager OR read a sign post - but immediately press B again to exit the text box that appears.
Basically, if you open AND CLOSE a text box during the flashing animation that happens when you cast magic, the flashing will end prematurely, and Link's color palette will temporarily get stuck on whatever color he was when the flashing colors ended.
With this glitch, you can turn Link into a cool blue color, all white, or a neat combination of blue and white! This glitch doesn't have any real effects on the game aside from the cool color changes, and the effect ends once you exit to a new area, but it's still NEAT!
So again, just equip a magic spell, stand next to a villager or sign, hit SELECT to cast the spell, then mash the B button to open and close a text box and BOOM, different colored hero!
