Board Game Review and Gameplay Demo - Stuffed Fables
An adventure game with some unique twists, Stuffed Fables cooperatively plays 2-4 people, lasts ~1.5 hours for a session, and gives us tactical combat, dice rolling, and a truly fun and unique storytelling mechanism, all while being designed to be played by children. Enjoy!
Adventure games can really be hit or miss. They're big, bulky, and can easily be weighed down by poorly executed mechanics and/or long turn times. Stuffed Fables is comparatively lean in its design, with a truly fun mechanic for moving forward through the game's story. There's enough gameplay to be of interest to parents, but the rules are simplified enough to make the understandable by kids, not to mention a theme that anyone can get behind!
As always, though, let me know what YOU think about the game. What do you think about games being more catered to kids? Is it too much to have another "mini-fest" tactical board game? Let me know in the comments!
