Bolsonaro's trial is not exceptional, says Dino

⚖ ️ Justice | Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Flávio Dino stated this Tuesday (September 9, 2025) that the trial of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and seven other allies, accused of attempted coup d'état, "is not exceptional." According to the judge, the process follows the same rules established by Brazilian law. He denied that it is a trial of the Armed Forces.
In his opening vote, Dino said that the case is analyzed based on "facts and evidence in the records," following due process. "This is a trial like any other, conducted under the rules in force in the country," he stated.
