With as much as I've talked about James Bond on this channel, I figured it would be fun to do a Tier list of the movies. Along the way I also wanted to add how I was introduced to these movies. There are a few I forgot to give my story as to how I found them. Figure I'll add them here.
From Russia with Love: Was one of the last movies I found, again at a thrift store. What was annoying is while the film itself was fine, the tape was not, so I had to transfer the film into another chassis. Thankfully it worked just fine. I've also come to discover there are 2 different versions of the film. There is one without subtitles, and different end credits. Ordinarily the credits end with "The End? Not Quite, James Bond will return on Goldfinger". Instead this other cut just goes into the credits without these words
You Only Live Twice: During the "15 Days of 007" Thunderball and You Only Live Twice were run back to back, so both films were on the same tape
On Her Majesties Secret Service: Had to buy this one brand new on DVD, as I couldn't find a VHS copy.
Live and Let Die: Had a hard time tracking this one done, but I did manage to find a VHS copy at a Consignment shop, still in the shrink wrap actually
The Man with the Golden Gun: I found a VHS copy at a Thrift Store
Moonraker, The Living Daylights, License to Kill, The World is not Enough, and Die Another Day I found at a consignment shop on DVD. That day finished the collection!
For Your Eyes only and Octopussy were a set on "15 days of 007". With I kept the Octopussy one because when the credits played, it was remixed over footage of the movie. Felt like that one was the best, however I got rid of it when I found an official version
A View to a Kill: Tis one was interesting as part of the Official VHS and the 15 Days of 007 tape were destroyed in different sections, so I needed both together to watch the whole film.
Tomorrow Never Dies: VHS Copy from a Thrift Store
Die Another Day: I saw a good chunk of this at my Cousin's house, who owned all the Bond Films on DVD
Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace I watched on a slow day at my Oldest Brother's house. Was disappointed that Skyfall didn't follow the story of Quantum at first, but stopped caring as it was a great film.
Skyfall was on a DVD collection of all the Daniel Craig movies at the time (This was before No Time to Die and Spectre), which I got as a Christmas Present. Also came with movie snacks as well.
