Book Discussion 20: Myth-Nomers and Im-pervections by Robert Asprin
I wound up getting the 8th book out of a 19 book series, which admittedly is a big detraction in my eyes. Not that I'm starting in the middle, but I don't want to get interested in a series that has so many books in it. That's just a huge pain because buying all of them online would be costly, but finding all of them would be difficult as well otherwise. It's not worth the hassle.
Based on the book itself, I didn't wind up finishing it because I disliked the protagonist. He was built up as someone who should be crafty, clever, and capable but he seemed to cause problems for himself more often then not. It seemed inconsistent and a waste of potential, since the environment itself should have been sufficient to cause plenty of problems and conflict.
Ironically this seemed to mark the beginning of a decline in the series, based on the reviews. Amazon Link: https://www.amazon.com/Myth-Nomers-Im-pervections-Myth-Adventures-Robert-Asprin/dp/0441014615
