BotW Master Mode - Divine Beast Vah Naboris
Breath of the Wild explores a post-calamity Hyrule and gives us an insight into a mostly foreign type of society. With the birth of a man within Gerudo lineage being so rare we see the lengths the Gerudo women must go through in order have their culture and people endure. Many real world parallels can be drawn but I feel like the notion that we can respect each other's differences but when necessity emerges we will set aside our differences for a better world is the focus of this part of the story.
A young woman, perhaps even still a child, is left to lead her people in an extreme world filled with evil. Her desire to get her people (and really all people) through the calamity shows in small moments in the dialogue. She will be the figure she needs to be most of the time but the young person inside comes out in the important moments.
Is it naïveté to think we will all escape unscathed in times of great oppression? Yes.
But this is not the childish wish to have everyone live through the hard times without being hurt. Its foundation is in a pure, unspoiled soul that wishes harm on no one and matured by a desire for a better future. All of that housed in a mind of a young leader who will do anything to see her aspirations realized.
