Hello and welcome to another PlayStation 3 sneak peek. This time I take a look at a game that was once a 360/PC exclusive, a game that is extremely unique. This game is the one and only Braid.

The story of Braid is very unique. You start off as a man (Tim) who is captivated by a princess. He lusts for her, but, he made many mistakes in the relationship. He did the wrong things in the past, and wants to change them. Now it seems a monster has captured her, and taken her to his castle. Can you save the Princess from the monster? Or is there more to this story than saving the damsel in distress? I leave that up to you to find out. One thing is for sure, the ending is really different.

The graphics are simply fantastic, and just look like a work of art! There aren't very many 2D style games out there that go into this amount of detail. The backdrops are just gorgeous looking, as well as the overall art work that the game has. It's simple, but creative! I really do like it!

The music in Braid is also really good! From the beginning to the end, Braid's soundtrack is just incredible, and every single stage has music that fits perfectly. The only thing I would have changed myself is the boss music, I don't seem to hear any....

The sound effects are also done pretty good, with quite a few different sound effects... jumping, knocking enemies out, and even the rewind time feature all sound crisp and clear.

The controls are decent, but, overall I find the jumping to be a bit floaty, and difficult to time. I find myself at times making the same jump over and over again to try to land on a certain enemy, and failing to hit it everytime, even though it feels like the timing would be correct. Other than that, it plays pretty decently.

The sad thing about Braid is the gameplay length. If you want to just run through, you can travel through the entire game basicaly in under an hour. But, you also need to find 60 puzzle pieces, and put together the puzzles in order to see the entire storyline, which will take you quite some time to do.

Also, if you want to really complete the game entirely, you need to find all the hidden stars as well, which is difficult considering I ran through the game and never found one of them in my first playthrough. So all in all, the length of the game is up to how you want to play it.

Bottom Line: This game is just incredible, and I seriously recommend it to anyone who finds the gameplay videos interesting! Braid has enough puzzles to keep most people playing for quite some time, and even has a speedrun mode built in for some extra replayability. Braid is well worth the $14.99 purchase price.

This game is in 1080p native, has Dual Shock 3 Rumble support, Trophy support, and Dolby Digital surround sound.
