Crash Commando for PlayStation 3
Hello and welcome to another PlayStation 3 exclusive sneak peek. This time I take a look at an action packed PSN title named Crash Commando.
Crash Commando is simple. You jump in, you aim, and you shoot! There is no story, and no girl to save. Just blood, bullets and mayhem!
The graphics are decently done for a PSN downloadable with different enviornments to choose from, and different scenarios for each stage. Overall I think the graphics hold up pretty well for this title. Nothing too fancy, and nothing real bland either. The graphics seem to fit just right with this style of game.
The music in Crash Commando is rockin' with many songs for all the different stages. Each song in the game is paced just right, and keeps you moving, and killing! I couldn't have asked for much better.
The sound effects are done decently, with nice gun shots, bomb blasts, and even sounds of people being run over are nice and squishy! Nothing very realistic of coarse, but fun never-the-less.
The controls are decently done. It takes some time to get used to, but after awhile you should have no problem killing some people online. You simply move with the left stick and aim with the right stick. It just takes some time to get used to the death roll and jet pack. Running people over has never been so much fun though.
The one thing I must complain about, is the length of the single player mode. I was able to complete it in one sitting, in the first night I bought it. But, that is not much of a big deal because the main game is played online! The single player mode is a good warm up though. Nothing more.
In this video, I show a little Single Player mode, and then a little Online mode afterwards. I hope you like it.
Bottom Line: The game is fun, fast, and the action is hardcore! Its worth the purchase price of $9.95 on the PSN, and gave me quite a few weeks of enjoyment. The Heist map pack is also pretty neat, and added even more to the game for only $2.99. I could have done without the newly added characters but overall the game is worth it. If you like the video, try out the demo. If you like the demo, you should enjoy the game.
No Plot, No Girls, Just PURE Mayhem! Available only on the Sony PlayStation 3 Computer Entertainment System.
This game is in 720p native, has Dual Shock 3 Rumble support, Trophy support, and DTS 5.1 Surround Sound.
