In the Final Fantasy Brave Exvius crossover event, a summoning gate put two units up for grabs. The original announcement, as well as Gumi's own forums, stated that a "safety net" would ensure that on the 20th summon, one of these two units would be pulled.
When a number of individuals took the company up on this opportunity to get the units they wanted, they were surprised when it didn't work. When they reached out for Gumi for answers, the mentions of a "safety net" were scrubbed, although not before the community had screenshots.
