41Reddit user RahrDude asked in the Outer Worlds sub if sneak 150 negates the usefulness of suppressor barrels so that you can instead use a different barrel mod. And the answer is an emphatic dear god, yes. And it's BROKEN.
I use a suppressed rifle to clear a marauder camp as normal, then pull out a basic revolver with no suppressor and do the exact same thing. Even while standing INSIDE the shoes of another marauder.
And by tripping the mine at the end I prove that the marauders are clearly aware of their surroundings and sounds, but Sneak 150 completely removes the sound of offensive actions while stealthed and not on alert (exclamation point state).
