Brutal Doom Mod for GZDoom | How to set it up on Linux
0Folks have asked me how I got Brutal Doom setup and working on Linux so, here's a video showing you how.
I'm rocking elementaryOS in this video but the steps for other Linux distros, especially Ubuntu-based ones, will be the exact same.
Feel free to use the Flatpak version of the GZDoom engine but I had issues passing the BrutalDoom mod file in as a launch argument, and I never figured out how to modify the shortcut for it.
Brutaldoom is a fancy graphics mod for Doom, specifically modern Doom engines like GZDoom. You can use any Doom compatible mod but I really enjoy playing the Freedoom wads because they are really original and just plain cool.
