0Burai Fighter is one of many shooters released for the NES, developed by KID (Kindle Imagine Develop) and published outside of Japan by Taxan & Nintendo. It features pretty decent graphics and sound and features three extra weapons and four difficulty settings (the fourth, Ultimate, is hidden). One thing that made Burai Fighter less conventional was that the screen could scroll in a variety of directions in the middle of a level, so the player would have to be more alert in order to avoid getting crushed by the screen. Another aspect of the game is that the player can shoot in many different directions (eight in this game) like in titles such as "Forgotten Worlds". The game was also made for Game Boy under the name of "Burai Fighter Deluxe" and for GBC under the name of "Space Marauder" This is a video of the first level showing some things in the game on Ace difficulty.
