BURROW THROUGH Marble Zone Act 3 in Sonic the Hedgehog - A Wild Glitch Appears! #sonic
0In Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis, there's a fairly simple glitch you can exploit to level wrap straight to the boss in Marble Zone Act III. This zip is used in speedruns and allows you to beat the stage in around 30 seconds if your boss strategy is solid.
At the start of Marble Zone Act 3, run straight to the right edge of the first moving platform. You'll need to stand as far to the right as you can (or with a few pixels) on this moving platform so that Sonic is teetering on the edge. If you're far enough to the right, you can wait for the platform to lower Sonic downward, then take another step to the right and Sonic will clip into the wall and drop down a short distance.
Once you're inside the wall, you will be in between two platforms that rise and fall within the lava pits. When the platform on the RIGHT is DOWN, tap LEFT on the D-Pad. This will move Sonic into place - he will be standing adjacent to the leftmost platform (and you will be able to see his spiny bits which are on fire!).
After that, wait for the platform on the LEFT to be ALL THE WAY at the top of its movement. Once it's at its apex, tap RIGHT on the D-Pad and IMMEDIATELY perform a full jump. If you did everything correctly, Sonic will zip through the walls and get teleported all the way to the boss fight against Dr. Robotnik.
This glitch is relatively easy in my opinion, especially since the first portion where Sonic clips into the wall is forgiving, and you can try that step as many times as you need.
