0The Black Dogs succeeded in taking out the closest Chinese Base to the Portal on Elysium, but the standing Chinese forces on the planet were too strong to be engaged with a frontal assault type of strategy. They were forced to retreat to Ganymede, but there was a tactical purpose in this maneuver, too. The Chinese were unable to see what happened on Ganymede, so the Black Dogs saw an opportunity to infiltrate a soldier into the Chinese Production Facilities, after the Chinese attempted to regain control of the Portal. Then, when the Chinese Engineers finished their job, the Lieutenant had to snipe the APC and head to Elysium through the Portal.
This mission has many differences with its counterpart in the original game. Here, the mission takes place on the same map as Mission DW06: Blitzkrieg, which is consistent with the lore, but the original version was set on a different layout. That being said, the difficulty of both versions is actually similar. Maybe the original version was harder if you don't try to wait the Chinese units in a forward position.
