0Having securing the Portal on their ground, their full forces back from Elysium and driven back the Chinese, the Black Dogs regrouped and returned to the offensive. The Chinese, despite their onslaught against the Black Dogs' Portal, were struggling to recover from their losses on Elysium and rushed to collect as much Bio-metal as possible to muster their forces. However, the Black Dogs Command's greatest fear was that their enemy actually attempted to build a new Portal to reinforce their numbers directly from Earth. Chinese population largely exceeded the population of the combined NATO countries, so they could be quickly overwhelmed if they are allowed to proceed. To prevent this, Commander Harris commissioned the Lieutenant to capture all the Chinese Silos in the area to deprive them from their resources, and only then to launch an attack to finish the Enemy Base in the quadrant. According to the Black Dogs Intelligence, the Silos would have enough Bio-metal to build the new Portal within 45 minutes, so the Lieutenant must hurry, in order to make effective this "war on attrition" type of strategy.
Unlike the previous mission, I could beat this one in my first try. That being said, this version is harder than the original version, mainly because the Chinese in this mod make a more clever use of the Cloaking than in the original game, which is lethal here if defenses aren't placed appropriately. However, for the first part, it is easier to fail in the original version, as the Silos there are more vulnerable to the crossfire. Another thing to note is that, instead of recycling the Silos with the Heaval as in the original game, the method to capture them is to place the Heaval next to the Silo for a certain amount of time, which I think is quite innovative and allows to put them into use in a clearer way than just recycling them.
